The Jin Shin Do® Foundation was founded as a trade organization by Iona Marsaa Teeguarden in 1982, with the following purposes:
    * To serve as an international network of Authorized Jin Shin Do® Teachers and Registered JSD Practitioners.
    * To maintain quality in the art of Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure®.
    * To promote growth in the art of Jin Shin Do® & facilitate research in related areas.
    * To provide informational materials to professionals and the public.
